February 2015 I found a pole fitness studio that didn’t take pole seriously, I mean they do, it’s what they do but I was struggling to find somewhere that wasn’t all about the seductive side, wearing high heels you could break your neck in or the going into it as a career in pole dancing, but just for fun. Somewhere I could turn up, swing round a pole, have fun and learn new tricks, and get fit at the same time.

When I started, I totally underestimated the sheer strength involved and get annoyed at myself for not being able to hold my own body weight in certain positions as someone who trained in martial arts and swimming for most of her childhood I had sadly lost a-lot of my strength into adulthood.

So this page is category is dedicated to everything pole related: my practices and recordings, the odd blooper (because we cant all get it first time) and the progress through the months.
